Childcare, early years and childminding

Overview

We offer a range of courses and opportunities for people interested in working with children and young people either in Early Years settings or schools.

Our courses are delivered by highly qualified professionals who have a wealth of experience across the children’s and young people’s workforce, and will prepare you for employment.

Courses

We offer:

  • Entry 3 certificate to progression in Care and Childcare

  • Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s setting

  • L2* Award in Mentoring

  • L2* Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health

  • L2* Understanding Neuroscience in Early Years

  • L2* Understanding Mental Health in Early Years

  • L2* Diploma for Early Years Practitioners

  • L3* Diploma for Early Years Educators

For all courses you will need to attend and information and assessment session.

* To enrol on Level 2 or Level 3 Care diplomas you will need to be working within the sector or have a current workplace. 

Dates and locations

There are multiple options on offer:

  • different venues across the borough, as well as online
  • course duration from 10 to 31 weeks
  • at times to suit you – day, evening and weekends
