Adult social care provides a wide range of services to support adults and older people. You can really make a difference to them and develop an exciting career that will both challenge and inspire you.

Qualifications are essential if you are interested in working in the adult social care sector and CALAT can give you a great start. We have a range of courses that will help you progress, whether you are just starting out in the care sector or aiming to improve your existing skills and job opportunities.

Courses

We offer:

  • Preparing to work in Care, Childcare and Schools

  • Entry 3 Award to Progression in Care and Childcare

  • Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s setting

  • Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young People’s Mental Health

  • Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health

  • Level 2 Diploma in Care

  • Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care

  • Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leading and Managing an Adult Care Service

To enrol on the Level 2, 3, 4, 5 Care diplomas you will need to have a current work placement or employment within the sector and working in the roles that meet the qualification requirements.

Dates and locations

  • All course are delivered at Thornton Heath Centre.
  • Course duration from 12 to 30 weeks
  • Weekdays term time.
