This free 6-week course is designed for individuals looking to become volunteers in adult education classes. It caters to those who are passionate about supporting and empowering adults in their learning journey, regardless of their prior teaching or volunteering experience.
During this comprehensive course, participants will gain essential knowledge and skills to excel as adult education volunteers. We cover the volunteer’s role, emphasising their vital contributions. You’ll learn how to provide safe and appropriate support to learners, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment. Additionally, we’ll equip you with strategies to assist learners with diverse needs, making your volunteering experience both fulfilling and impactful.
Following successful completion of this course you could:
To gain a place on this course you will have a Level 2 or equivalent English and maths qualification OR be able to demonstrate a Level 2 ability in English and maths through an initial assessment.
The course is free to all those over 19 years of age who meet the immigration eligibility criteria.
