GCSE English Language

About the course

At CALAT, we have been successfully delivering the AQA 8700 GCSE 9-1 English Language course since the new exam was launched in 2017. We are proud of our consistently outstanding results, well above the national average. In 2022, we had a pass rate of 100%.

The GCSE is a nationally recognised L2 qualification and is demanded by both universities and many employers.

The GCSE course is completely free to all eligible students. You must be 19+ and not enrolled elsewhere to take a L2 qualification, you must also not have previously passed the GCSE in English.

We will provide you with advice and guidance based on your needs and career goals during assessment and once you start your course.

*Blended learning means you will alternate by having one lesson online then one lesson in the classroom.
