Autumn Term enrolments for ESOL for Strand House, Clocktower and New Addington

For Clocktower, Central Croydon please come to the Calat Clocktower reception and pick up an appointment slip from Monday 2nd September 2019To enrol on the course you will need to provide your passport or ID and payslips or proof of benefit.

For Strand House, Thornton Heath courses, please come to Strand House to enrol at the following times:

Tuesday 10 September   4pm – 7pm

Wednesday 11 September 10am – 12.30pm &1.30- 4pm

Monday         16 September 4pm – 7pm

Thursday      19 September 10am to 12.30pm

Saturday       21 September 9.30am to 12.00pm

To enrol on the course you will need to provide your passport or ID and payslips or proof of benefit.

For New Addington Courses, please come to enrol at either Strand House or Clocktower (as above).


 

Would you like to improve your English? CALAT offers courses in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for people who are settled in the UK, want to improve their English language skills, and gain nationally recognised qualifications.

Our qualified teachers will help you with your English for everyday life, you will study in a friendly, safe environment, meet new friends, gain confidence and learn employability skills.

We offer classes for:

  • Pre-entry (beginners)*

  • Entry 1*, Entry 2* and Entry 3*

  • Level 1* and Level 2*

  • Functional Skills Entry 3 and Level 2

How to apply: To register you will need an email address. 

ESOL classes are free for learners seeking employment and receiving Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), ESA (WRAG) or other means-tested benefits. Courses run for 50, 70 or 110 hours per 10 week term.

The hourly fee for learners who work, or are not on benefits, will be £5.25 per hour. However, for those working and on a low income we offer a substantial discount on our fees. Please ask for an Access Fund form at reception or during assessments.

All learners are assessed and advised before they join a course. Please bring your passport or National ID Card, proof of benefit (if applicable), National Insurance Number, and payment for the course (if applicable).

ESOL classes run at all our centres throughout the week and on Saturdays at Strand House
